Temple Foyer
This is the main (Illinois Street) entry of the Temple, which is probably one of the most beautiful areas in the building. The elevator and winding staircase are duplicated on the left of the lobby as well (see the next photo in the series) giving the room a satisfying symmetry. To the right in this picture is the office of the Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Indiana. To the left is a room originally used as the Grand Lodge Library, but today occupied by the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation, which recently finished a complete, modern renovation of their space. In between the twin staircases one passes through to the Grand Lodge Hall, also (and sometimes confusingly) called Freemasons' Hall.
