New Restaurant and Tavern Opens at Michigan and Capital

There is a new post-meeting venue available now within walking distance of Freemasons' Hall. Sahm's Tavern and Cafe has opened today on the ground floor of the renovated former auto showroom at 433 N. Capitol Avenue in the Gibson Building. One block west and one block south of us.

From today's Indianapolis Star:

The 50-seat cafe opens for breakfast and lunch every weekday and for brunch on weekends, while the 60-seat tavern opens for lunch and dinner daily. Unlike most Downtown restaurants, Sahm's Tavern and Cafe offers free offstreet parking. The new restaurant features "a fun, energetic atmosphere against a backdrop of Olde English-inspired decor," Sahm's said. The five-story Gibson Building was remodeled into office and retail space by OneAmerica Financial Partners, which has offices there.
